Overview
Think of the game as a frog hopping from lily pad to lily pad. You are the frog, and you start off on a lily pad.
To move the lily pad that you are sitting on, move your arm or your body to the left or right.
The lily pads in the river move from left to right, or from right to left.
When you hear a lily pad directly in front of you – in the center of your head – tap the screen, and you hop to the new lily pad, and you are now riding on that lily pad.
If you are confused, just hold the phone directly in front of you, and you’ll hear the lily pad in the river move from your left ear to your right, or from your right ear to your left.
As you move your arm or your body to the left or right, you can follow the moving lily pad, or get behind it, or get in front of it.
When you are exactly lined up with it, tap the screen.
Start playing at the practice level.
The lily pads arrive from either the left or right.
Each lily pad has a different musical tune as you hop from lily pad to lily pad.
The game starts off with a handful of lily pad tunes. You can get more tunes with an in-app upgrade; that is described later in this help.
Earning points in Blindfold Hopper is easy.
Starting with level one, each time you jump from lily pad to lily pad, you get one more point than the points you got for the prior jump.
Your first jump gets you one point, your second jump gets you two points, your third jump gets you three points, and so on.
There’s just one catch – if you miss the lily pad, or get eaten by the alligator or other nasty animals, you lose all of the points you earned during the current game.
You can end your game by pressing one finger on phone for a full second to collect your points.
But make sure you press within 2 seconds of jumping. At exactly 2 seconds, you will hear a triple beep, which means you no longer can end the game.
If you want to end the game and collect your points, you’ll need to jump to the next lily pad, and then press for a full second.
In easy level one, the lily pads are large and arrive from either the left or right, but get a little bit faster each time you hop.
Level two is just like level one, but the lily pads are smaller.
Level three has large lily pads, but if you don’t move for a few seconds, an alligator will eat you.
Level four is just like level three, but the lily pads are smaller.
In level five, there’s no alligator, but you have to catch a fly. When you hear the fly buzzing in your head, swipe up with two fingers to catch it.
If you don’t catch the fly, you won’t have enough food, and even if you hop to the lily pad, you’ll pass out from hunger and lose the game.
When you catch the fly, you’ll hear the frog chomping on the fly.
If you miss the fly, you’ll hear a failure sound, and you can swipe up again when the fly is closer.
Level six is just like level five, but the lily pads are smaller.
In level seven, the lily pads are large and there’s both a fly and an alligator.
Level eight is just like level seven, but the lily pads are small.
In level nine, there’s no alligator, but sometimes there is one fly, sometimes two flies and sometimes no flies.
When that level starts, and after each time you hop, you will hear one or two or no beeps.
One beep means you need to find and catch one fly, two beeps means two flies. If you don’t hear any beeps, there are no flies to be eaten.
If you don’t get all the flies before hopping to the next lily pad, you’ll lose the game.
Level 10 is just like level 9, but the lily pads are smaller.
In level 11, the lily pads are large and there’s an alligator, and zero, one, or two flies.
Level 12 is just like level 11, but the lily pads are small.
In level 13, there’s an eagle that wants to eat you for dinner. You’ll hear him swoop down.
To avoid the eagle, swipe down with 2 fingers just before he eats you.
If you swipe just before the eagle pounces on you, you’ll hear a ding-ding sound.
If you swipe too soon, you’ll hear a failure sound, and you can swipe down again when the eagle is closer.
If don’t swipe, you’ll hear the eagle scream with delight.
Level 14 is just like level 13, but the lily pads are small.
Levels 15 to 20 are similar with different combinations of large and small lily pads, alligators, eagles and flies.
Scoring
If you play by using coins that you earn, you must score 1,000 points to move to the next level.
If you get the STARTER PACK, you can try a harder level without needing 1,000 points.
Each time you do really well, you can post your scores to Twitter or Facebook.
First, in SETTINGS, select to post to either Twitter or Facebook.
Then, when you score really well, the game will tell you to tap the screen twice with 2 fingers to post your score.
With twitter, your scores are already shown.
With facebook, you must paste your scores using the standard method on the iPhone for pasting text.
<!–However, if you skip one or more levels, when you restart the app, your total game score will be reset to only completed sequential levels.
For example, after you upgrade, let’s say score 100 points in level 1, and 100 points in level 2, and 50 points in level 10.
When you restart the app, your total game score is reset to the completed sequential levels, in this case, levels 1 and 2, for a total game score of 200.

Levels and Upgrades
After you have completed the first two levels, you can play more levels by purchasing the STARTER PACK in-app upgrade.
The STARTER PACK gives you unlimited play for several levels.
Once you have finished the levels in the STARTER PACK, you can continue playing by getting another upgrade, such as the levels in EASY PACK 1.
You can also play for free – that’s described later. If you want us to create more levels, send us an email.
You can increase the points you score by purchasing the in-app upgrade for FASTER POINTS.
With this feature, you have two choices for getting points: automatic save or double points.
Automatic save lets you save all the points that you’ve earned, even if you miss the lily pad or get eaten by the alligator.
Or, if you want to double your points when you end the game, but risk not saving them if you lose the game, turn automatic save off in the SETTINGS screen.
The game starts off with a handful of lily pad tunes. If you want to make the game more fun, purchase the in-app upgrade for LILY PAD TUNES, and
you’ll have over 40 different tunes for the lily pads.
Trading-In Points for Inventory
As you start to earn points in this game, you can trade-in your points for useful stuff to help you score even better.
Here are the inventory items you can get with the points you score in the game:
If the alligator is about to eat you, you can shoot a sleeping dart at him to save your life.
To get 10 sleeping darts, trade-in 500 points. Once you have the darts, you can shoot the alligator just as he starts to eat you, by swiping left with one finger.
You won’t lose the points you’ve scored in the current game, and you can continue playing.
If you hop and splash into the water instead of landing on a lily pad, you can use a life raft to repeat the current level.
To get 5 inflatable rafts, trade-in 500 points. Once you have the life raft, you can inflate it when you start to drown, by swiping left with one finger.
Sometimes its useful to know if the alligator is sneaking up on you.
To make the alligator make noise just as he is about to eat you, trade-in 1,000 points.
You will hear a growling sound whenever the alligator is about to attack.
In the harder levels, when you hop to the lily pad that is far away, the hop can take up to half a second.
If you don’ time it correctly, you will splash into the river.
You can unlock hop speed if you trade-in 2,500 points. Use the SETTINGS screen to change your hop speed.
Once the alligator decides to attack you, he is very fast. You can injure the alligator so his attacks are a little slower.
You can unlock his attack speed if you trade-in 2,500 points. Use the SETTINGS screen to change his attack speed.
As the game gets faster and faster, your hops may be close but not close enough to the lily pad.
A gust of wind is just what you need to push you a little further.
You can get 10 gusts of wind for 500 points.
Each gust of wind is used automatically if your are pretty close to the lily pad that you are jumping to.
While most players earn points to get these inventory items, you may want to get some of these inventory items right away; if so, you can purchase points.
Go the GET UPGRADES screen from the main menu to buy points.
